​This was a wonderful project - a new build house built in a classical style, we wanted the house to feel like it had always been in place and to fit in with the surroundings, its in the South Downs National Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty.  Working closely with the architects enabling us to be involved from the outset, particularly with the the layouts of the property.  The outcome is exactly what the clients dreamt of.   

The aim was to have a couple of large reception rooms for modern living, entertaining is a large part of their lives so the kitchen was a focal point, with an existing antique dining table becoming a key design feature.    There is a large drawing room with a cosy fire for winters evening but comfortable for plenty of people to sit in, a cosy TV room & a large study and library room, with lots of bespoke joinery to fit in the many books. 

We also created a guest wing with downstairs bedrooms, this was due to planning requirements to have lots of rooves which was in keeping with the original footprint of the old dwelling.  After much consideration this actually worked well allowing guests to have thier own space, and potentially for later in life having downstairs bedrooms is practical.  These were a few of the many ideas that go through the planning process when designing a house from concept to reality. 

We created the overall lighting & electrical layouts as well as furniture arrangements & bathroom layouts & finishes.  We designed the bespoke joinery throughout, chose the flooring & finishes as well as working on the FF&E incorporating some of the clients existing artwork & furniture.  We specified & supplied window treatments,  & help to dress the house with accessories & their existing items.
